Do you know what the South Fayette PTA does?
The South Fayette PTA is made up entirely of volunteers who work to provide around 30 events and activities for our Elementary and Intermediate School students, families and staff each school year.
PTA volunteers plan and run all of our events! Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in many different ways. When serving on an event committee, individuals can choose to help plan activities, to purchase needed supplies, to set up for the event, to work a station at the event, or to clean up at the end of the event.
The PTA provides the folders and agendas your student brings home each day and funds the fall, holiday and valentines parties at both schools. We also purchase equipment for the schools. For example, we purchased 2 banner printers for the schools last year. There are so many wonderful things the PTA does at South Fayette, check out our Events & Programs page to see them all!
We are thankful to all our members for their contributions!
What is a PTA?
The overall purpose of Parent Teacher Associations or PTAs is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for children. The goals of the SFPTA are to actively promote what the PTA does for the student body, practice inclusiveness in all PTA activities, and to develop new leaders. We encourage you to join the South Fayette PTA if you are not already a member!
PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States.
More than 85 research studies conducted over the past 30 years prove that children do better when parents are involved. Grades are higher. Attendance increases. Test scores improve.
If you are not already a member we ask you to join the South Fayette PTA today!
